Stalking and Harassment

Welcome to online training on stalking and harassment in New Mexico.

This tutorial offers information on the crimes of stalking and harassment to assist the judiciary in gaining a better understanding of the psychology of these offenses as well as the applicable substantive and procedural laws.

In addition to explanations, some of the sections in the tutorial include short interactive exercises to illustrate issues that arise in these cases. The question-and-answer exercises can be accessed by clicking on the links found at the bottom of each section.

The tutorial will lead you through the topics in a linear fashion, meaning you can continue from this page through the entire tutorial one section at a time. After answering the hypothetical questions in the exercises, a link will take you to the next section. Alternatively, you can go to any section of the tutorial by clicking on a topic below or by jumping to a different topic from the selection box on the top of every page.

Please keep in mind that this tutorial provides a guide to the law but is not itself the law. Refer to statutes and case law for definitive answers to legal questions.
