Welcome to the online training module for New Mexico's law on Contracts!

This tutorial offers information on basic contract law. In addition to explanations, the tutorial includes several short exercises to illustrate the principles of contract law. These question-and-answer exercises can be accessed by clicking on the links found at the bottom of each section. Some terms and phrases are linked to the glossary; if you click on these, you will be linked to the definition in the Glossary of Legal Terms.

The tutorial will lead you through the above subjects in a linear fashion, meaning you can continue from this page through the entire tutorial one section at a time. After answering the hypothetical questions in the exercises, a link will take you to the next section. You should be able to finish the whole tutorial in about one hour. Alternatively, you can go to any section of the tutorial by clicking on a topic above or by jumping to a different topic from the selection box on the top of every page.

Please keep in mind that this tutorial focuses on basic contract law in New Mexico. This tutorial is a simplified guide to the law, but is not itself the law. Please refer to statutes and governing case law for definitive answers to legal questions.
